Grasses, Sedges, Rushes - Green/Brown Flowers |
One easy way to identify wildflowers is by their flower colour. In fact,
Peterson's Field Guide to Wildflowers is organized on this concept.
This website has used approximately the same groupings as used in that book.
The colour groupings used on this site should be regarded as broad categories. For example, the category Blue/Violet includes all shades of blue,
from very dark blue to very pale blue, almost white.
As well, many species produce flowers in more than one colour (eg, some flowers of a species may be blue, some may be white).
When flowers are made up of more than one colour, a flower is only considered to be of a particular colour
if a substantial portion of the flower is of that colour. |
This is a list of species with Green/Brown flowers found on this site, in order by the Common Name that is used for each species on this site. |
